The LAPDP is housed in the Biology/Psychology Building. It occupies 600 square feet and is divided into four rooms: the library/entrance, the main control room, the testing theater, and the observation room.

The Library contains a collection of books and journals relevant to the research of the lab and a full set of the lab's technical manuals.

The Control Room houses the WWW Server (Macintosh G4, OSX), three other computers for software development, and a video recording system.

The Testing Theater has three user workstations with two flat panel monitors each. One monitor is used to present instructions and tasks and the other is used as a work area. Video cameras are mounted in the room for observation.

The Observation Room has a one-way mirror into the Testing Theater and a three monitor computer for record keeping.
