Web Navigation
This project investigates the strategies people use to navigate websites in the absence of semantic information. If the only cue given to you about the location of a target is the relevance of the page to the target, how do you use that information to get to the target? The problem may seem very abstract, but it mimics a situation we've all found ourselves in, making judgments of the relevance of particular terms to the task at hand and having to act on that incomplete information.
